Celebrate your accomplishments!

Today’s blog post is a brag moment!

Thirty days ago, unnoticed, a major milestone occurred in my leadership development practice.  In fact, I didn’t even realize it until it was mentioned to me by one of my staff members.  I wasn’t going to say anything about it to all of you, but it was pointed out to me by this very same staff member that I am constantly pushing and encouraging the leaders I work with to always celebrate their successes.  After all, we get so busy in our work lives that it’s not often that we stop and take the time to celebrate what we’ve accomplished.  And celebration of achievements is so important to both employee morale as well as future success.  Point well taken!

So … last month, on August 21, I delivered my 1000th presentation as a professional speaker and trainer!  Woo hoo!  And as luck would have it, I was in a pretty cool place when it happened!  I was “down under” in Melbourne, Australia, working with a favourite client!  I am thrilled to have reached this milestone in my professional practice and yes, I am celebrating!

So … what milestone, professional or personal, have you achieved lately that deserves to be celebrated!  Tell us all here in the Comments section and we’ll celebrate with you! 🙂

  • I currently work for Summit Technical Solutions as the Corporate Safety Manager, our corporate office is located in Colorado Springs, Co. We perform records management for the Department of Homeland Security in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

I just recently received a plaque for 10 years of service at the National Records Center facility. I am very proud of the most important work Summit Technical Solutions does for DHS. Time does fly when you are having fun. Thanks.

  • After 14 years with the Company, I have been relocated to my dream location, which is close to my extended family. I recently completed my first 90 days at the new location, which has not been very easy. I made it. I am here and I earned it. Yeah!!!
