What was needed …
A regional association was looking for an upbeat energizing closing keynote to wrap-up their flagship annual conference. This organization focuses on helping women entrepreneurs start, grow and advance successful, leading-edge businesses while capitalizing on emerging economic opportunities. Over five hundred professional women from all walks of life would be in attendance at this 12th anniversary event and the planning team wanted a message that was not only inspirational and uplifting but which also celebrated and honored women’s accomplishments.
What Merge did …
After a discussion with executive leadership at the association, Merge took the main points from one of her most popular keynotes “High Heels That Click: Why Female Leadership Has Its Advantages”, and tailored it to fit the theme of this conference. Using colorful anecdotes and compelling metaphors, she showed attendees how the common differences between men and women actually offer great advantages in leadership and success. With her occasionally irreverent and tongue-in-cheek humor about “girl power”, she entertained and engaged her audience of not only primarily women but also a few men!
What were the results …
Exactly as the organizers had hoped, Merge’s keynote closed the conference on a high note! Attendees left with a sense of excitement and accomplishment, and a renewed passion towards their businesses. Later, the association’s meeting planner emailed Merge – “We have had wonderful feedback on your keynote and some are even saying that this was our best conference to date!”
