Just in time for the holiday season, a feel-good video from Google about how miles and decades apart cannot weaken friendships and relationships. It’s 3-1/2 minutes long, but it’s worth it, I promise. I watched it several times and it brought a tear to my eye each time. By the way, it has English captions, but even if you don’t read them, you’ll get the gist of the story.
So since I’m always looking for leadership messages to share with all of you, what’s the message here? I think it’s two-fold – first, when you build solid relationships, they stand the test of time. Second, today’s technology gives us access to solutions we may never had before. So as we close out 2013, leaders please ask yourselves:
- Are you building solid relationships with your employees and colleagues, ones that will stand the test of time?
- And when you come across obstacles in the day-to-day routine of what you do in your workplace, are you exploring what solutions technology might offer?
Well, what are your answers to my questions? Heck, just tell me what you think of this video?
